Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Frances Marlene Winckler of Tyndall, South Dakota, born in Bismarck, North Dakota, who passed away at the age of 89, on December 18, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Tolliver and Lydia Tolliver (Rosenberg); her husband Alvin; her brothers, Frank, Allen, Ernest, Andrew, Glen and Rollen Ray; and also, Otto, Emma, Esther, Norma, Millie and Delores.

She is survived by: her children, Daniel Winckler (Melanie) of Las Vegas, NV, Mary Dunlap (William) of Naples, Linda Pelton (Ron) of Avon, SD, Kenneth Winckler (Lisa) of Lesterville, SD and Karen Griffith (Walt) of Sioux Falls, SD; her sister Kathryn "Kitte" Lower (Bud); and her siblings-in-law, Carol Tolliver, Hilda Tycz, Art Winckler and Bernard "Gus" Pletka. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

“My memories range from staying at the farm for Gramma's funeral and being awakened for the first time by a rooster, to seeing what seemed like all of Tyndall turn out on Saturday night at the tavern, and the weeks I spent there when Dee's kids were also there in the summer of 1965, and of course the gracious hospitality during our last family reunion. Pat was always there, generous and smiling. I loved her and love each of you. Dave T.”

“I remember Aunt Pat with love and gratitude. She always seemed upbeat and ready to laugh, and she seemed to have endless energy and affection for everyone. A few days ago, I came across a beautiful baby quilt she made for the silent auction in our last family reunion, and it seemed filled with her loving soul. I was lucky to know her. I'm holding all my dear cousins close in my heart now as you grieve the loss of your sweet mom. Joyce Tolliver”
