She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Sternhagen and Christine Sternhagen (Merkwan); her husband Frank J. Soukup; her son Dick (Dick); her daughter-in-law Becky Soukup; her brothers, Tom, Joe, Leo and Ray; her siblings-in-law, Polly, Pearl, Margie, Dolores, Jan Sternhagen, Anna Rada (Bill), Marian Travnicek (Emil) and Dick Karolevitz; her nephews, Clayton, Danny, Troy and Tim; her niece Sue Jayne Sternhagen; and her close friend Bob Hajek.
She is survived by: her son Jacques (Edward); her son-in-law Edward; her grandchildren, Lynn Foote of Quincy, IL, Michelle Dean of Harrisburg, SD, Michael Soukup (Brenda) of Bourbonnais, IL, Jill Wadkins (Jared) of Brandon, SD and JoAnn Poppens of Sioux Falls, SD; and her siblings, Ione Karolevitz of Tabor, SD and Don Sternhagen of Avon, SD. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
