He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas and Ida May Owens (Cooper); his siblings, Marvin Owens, Huile Cleo Owens (Louise), Royd Dewayne Owens (Norma) and Doris May Solberg (Eugene); his parents-in-law, Morris and Edith Miller; his sister Shirley; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Lorenz and Donald Syverson.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Owens of Tyndall, SD; his daughters, Elizabeth Ann Ludens (Douglas) of Scottsdale, AZ and Mary Catherine Medeck (James) of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandson James Ryan Medeck (Kindra) of Colorado Springs; his great grandchildren, Phoebe Grace, Abigail Reese and Madalyn Sophia; and his siblings-in-law, Maureen Syverson Breunig of Wahoo, NE and Donald Miller (Peggy) of Grand Island, NE. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
