We are sad to announce that on March 24, 2020, at the age of 99, Bessie C. Hornstra (Tyndall, South Dakota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hildebrand Boschma and Minnie Boschma (Bouma); her husband Fred C. Hornstra; her brothers, Joe Boschma (Ann) and Richard Boschma (Loraine); and her parents-in-law, Hans Lukkes (Bernice), Ed Lukkes (Reba), Henry Lukkes, Grace (Marvin Peterson), John Lukkes (Goldie) and Nick Hornstra.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronnie (Lois Ann) of Avon, SD, Eugene (Mary Ellen) of Yankton, SD, James (Kathy) of Springfield, SD and John of Tyndall, SD; and her grandchildren, Todd of Pickstown, SD, Tracy (Zona), Sara (Henry Hess), Amy St (Michael Belmont), Lori (Dan Sonne), Anna (John McDaugle), Jacob, Theresa and Justin (Ashley). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
