She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elmer Best and Leona Best (Burtz); her husband Leonard Hajek; her children, Jerry Hajek, David Hajek and Dianne Klein (Art); her grandchildren, Angela Dolle (Scott), Dennis Hajek (Amy), Christine Distl (Erik), Daniel Hajek (Ann), Scott Klein (Stephanie) and Brad Klein; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Jena Dolle, Alex, Samantha, Olivia Hajek, Dexter, Theo Hajek, Maddie, Jensen Distl, Eli and Eva Klein; her son Dwight; and her daughter-in-law Linda.
Notable secretarial positions were Wesley Foundation at SDSU in Brookings, SD, United Methodist Church in Brookings, Schiltz Farms in Caledonia, Minnesota and United Methodist Church in Caledonia.
