It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlo Mae Schuurmans (Tyndall, South Dakota), who passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Bambas and Mary Bambas (Hajek); her parents-in-law, Bill and Irene Schuurmans; her siblings-in-law, Virgil and Maxine Schuurmans; and her son-in-law Bernie Johansen.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Edward Schuurmans of Leo's Catholic Church; her children, Terry Schuurmans (Barb) of Avon, Mike Schuurmans (Karen) of Sioux Falls, Kris Hansen (Rick) of Moorpark, CA and Scott Schuurmans (Leslie) of Tyndall; her grandchildren, Lexi Petrick (Jamie), Matt Spawn (Kristy), Michelle Ternus (Brad), Shannon Eckert (Joe) and Joci Bratton (Dallas); and her great grandchildren, Madison, Dylan, Braden, Peyton, Amber, Dru, Austin, Caden, Rachel, Spencer, Bayli, Kinsley, Easton, Kolby, Paisley, Max, Carter, Bentley, Quinn, Taya, Aanya, Lainey, Lukas, Noah, Kolton, Jaycee, Gabe, Sasha, Coy and Annie.
In remembrance of Arlo's life, the family asks that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to St. Leo Catholic Cemetery.
