He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron "Judd" Brown and Alice Brown (Dessonville); and his sister Evelyn. He is survived by: his wife Mardelle Yvonne Major; his sons, Steve Brown (Anita) of Jacksonville, FL, Douglas Brown of Rapid City, SD, Rick Brown (Tamra) of Belle Plain, MN and Gerald Brown (Wendy) of Rapid City; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Kenneth, Brenda, Stephanie, Cody and Tyler. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
