She was predeceased by: her parents, Emanuel Frey and Louise Frey (Weisser); her husband LaVern Schaefer; her stepfather Paul Weisser; her parents-in-law, Simon and Alvina Schaefer; her siblings, Velda Mehlhaff, Shirley Bloch and Harvey Weisser; her siblings-in-law, Darlene Weisser, Vesta Nuss, Ione Schaefer, Velma Schaefer, Hazel Niemyck, Ruben Mehlhaff, Frank Bloch, Eugene Nuss, Gilbert Schaefer, Wilber Schaefer and Victor Schaefer; her nephews, Wayne Odegaard, Roger Mehlhaff, Paul Saenz, Gregg Weisser and Wayne Nuss; and her great-nephew Josh Odegaard.
She is survived by: her children, Lila Schaefer of Watertown, SD, Allen Schaefer of Rapid City, SD, Marilyn Fischer (Tim) of Rapid City, SD and Barbara Schaefer of Watertown, SD; her grandson Matt Fischer (Alia Cota); and her great grandchildren, Jordan Fischer of Nampa, ID, Kyle Fischer of Northwood, ND and Charlotte Cota of Northwood, ND. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
