He was predeceased by: his parents, David Pickering and Hazel Pickering (Van Tassel); his siblings, Shirley and Patrick; and his friend Bonnie O'Brien.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie Dolan (Terry) of Beresford, SD, Linda Rydell (Steve) of Baltic, SD, LeAnn Pickering (Sioux Falls) and Tom Pickering (Anna) of Marshall, MN; and his siblings, Sharon Klueber, Madonna Kennedy, Linda Pickering, Fran Anderson (Lyle), Carol Gaut (Bob), Mary Breuer (Lenny) and Michael Pickering. He is also survived by five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
