He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlen Berwald (Sonny) and Eunice Berwald (Backman); and his nephew Channing Berwald. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Lau; his grandson Jaxson; his children, Bethany Larson (Jeff), Austin Berwald (Rebecca) of Toronto and Kaitlynn Berwald (Alan) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Ella, Leo, Anders, Jaylee, Jaedyn and Jamison; and his siblings, Calvin Berwald (Sara) of Ogema, Wisconsin, Lisa Abeler (Bill) of Upsala, Minnesota, Rita Hofer (Eli) of Bruce and Sheila Gross (John) of Madison. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, a large extended family.
