He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Ady Gjere and Gilfred Eugene Gjere; his wife Helen Shannon; his sister Lucile (John Trigg); and his sister-in-law June (Tom Kirkman).
He is survived by: his children, Gail Lacy (David) of Clear Lake, SD, Bob Gjere (Joanne) of Austin, TX, Diane Horning (Randy) of Gilbert, AZ and Richard Gjere of Durango, CO.. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
