It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eunice H Berwald of Toronto, South Dakota, born in Peever, South Dakota, who passed away on October 27, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Backman and Mary Backman (Arlen); her siblings, Pearl Ammann, Norma Madsen, Marlys Ballhagen, Jens Backman and Marlene Eneboe; and her grandson Channing Berwald.
She is survived by: her siblings, Julius and Mary Backman; her cousin Mie Jorgensen of Galten, Denmark.; her spouse Arlen "Sonny" Berwald; her siblings, Viola Taylor, Leon Backman (Gladys) and Donnie Backman (June); and her children, Calvin Berwald (Sara) of Ogema, Mike Berwald (Kim) of Toronto, Lisa Abeler (Bill) of Upsala, Rita Hofer (Eli) of Bruce and Sheila Gross (John) of Madison. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
