She was predeceased by: her parents, Johannes Hagemeyer and Martha Hagemeyer (Andreessen); her daughter Marie; and her siblings, Albert, Henry and Hilda.
She is survived by: her husband Dwight Buus of Tea, SD; and her children, DeVeryl Buus (Celeste) of Florida and Rhonda Nielsen (Chris) of Tea, SD. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
