He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyna Van Zee (Keuning) and Fred H. Zee; his stepfather Herman Hansum; and his siblings, Marvin Van Zee and Juna Mae Van Zee.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Hansum; his children, Roger Van Zee of Sioux Falls, SD and Wanda Hohn of Mitchell, SD; and his grandchildren, Derek Hohn, Kristina Vowles (Sid), Megan Rolfson (Robert) and Vanessa Hohn. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
