He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ernest Otten and Barbara Jean Otten (Hodges); and his siblings, Ernie Otten (Betty), David Otten and Penny Dannen (Gale).

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to charity, specifically near to Don's heart was St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
