He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hanssen and Dena Hanssen (Janssen); his wife Minerva Hanssen (Zelmer); his siblings, Elmer Hanssen and Gladys Reinesch; and his granddaughter Wendy Hanssen.
He is survived by: his sister Iva Pfeifer of Mesa, AZ; and his sons, Sherman Hanssen (Elva) of Ormond Beach, FL, Lloyd Hanssen (Rosemarie) of Peever, SD, Curtis Hanssen (Margaret) of Summit, SD and Butch Hanssen (Robin) of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
