He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Simons and Ada Simons (Burditt); his siblings, Vern Simons, Wayne Simons, Clara Beth Peterson, Gladys Edwards and Kay Ingalls; and his son-in-law Duane Meyers.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Newbill; his children, Larry Simons of Portland, OR, Colette Meyers and Lisa Baker (Duane); his sister Freda Wilson; his grandchildren, Stephanie (Scott), Lyndee (Brandon), Dustin (Amber) and Brian; and his great grandchildren, Brandon, Caleb, Sam, Grace, Avery and Marshall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church of Sturgis or Rainbow Bible Ranch.
