Stan Johnson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stan Johnson of Sturgis, South Dakota, who passed away on January 9, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Johnson and Alice Johnson (Anderson); his sisters, Margie Cole and Polly Johnson; his nephew Mike Cole; and his granddaughter Ashley Nelson.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Dustin and Brendon; his wife Sheri (Longhofer); his children, Troy Johnson, Dustin Nelson (Christine), Trina Johnson and Brendon Nelson (Sherry); his grandchildren, Cody Johnson (Amber), Sebastian Johnson, Jaiden Johnson, Brady Kindsfater, Tanner Nelson (Jami) and Kaden Nelson; his great grandchild Westyn Wade Nelson; and his mother-in-law Virginia Edwards.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785). A reception was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sturgis Vets Club (868 Main St, Sturgis, SD 57785).
