He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank G. Frey and Marie A. Frey (Baker); his wife Sheryl Ann Frey; his siblings, Frank Frey, Robert Frey, James Frey and Linda Harwood; and his great-nephew Andrew John Frey.

He is survived by: his son Jeff Nolan (Brittany Pierce); his grandsons, Patrick John Wayne Pierce and Jericho James Pierce; and his sister Audrey Masters of Yakima, WA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
