It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Jean Simon (Sturgis, South Dakota), who passed away on November 11, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Ayres and Agnes Ayres (Olson); her husband Dale; and her son Jerry. She is survived by: her granddaughter DeLynn Hanson (Bryan) of Fort Pierre; her great grandchildren, Chase and Timber Hanson; her daughters-in-law, Lynda Simon and Judith Kaye Simon (Steve Sander); her friend Todd Youngberg (LuAnne); and also, Dana and Orrin Youngberg. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and their spouses, children, and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial in her memory at the Meade County Senior Center in Sturgis.
