It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Loobey (Sturgis, South Dakota), who passed away on February 17, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry Loobey to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence John Loobey and Thelma Theresa Loobey (Helgeson); and his brothers, Jack, Jim, Don and Joe Rogers.
He is survived by: his wife Cleo; his children, Michael Loobey, Mitchell Loobey and Michele Loobey-Gertsch; his grandchildren, Nicole Jones, Tina Wynia (Mark), Sean Gertsch and Drew Gertsch; his great grandchildren, Jucole Jones (Kayla), Laesha Schoeberl (Alex), Jessiah Jones, Zedekiah Loobey, Nico, Johanna and Leo Wynia; his great great grandchildren, Jaezdyn and Kaezlynn Jones; his sister Alice Brandon (Al); and his siblings-in-law, Reba Loobey (Don) and Alonzo "Lonnie" Parra.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Sturgis.
