He is survived by: his wife Cheri Peterson (Mikkelsen); his children, Ami Anderson (Jeff), Aby Froiland (Erik), Brad Peterson (Janet), Anders Peterson (Jennilee), Bekka Lewis (Marc), Kahlie Schanilec (Ben) and Sydney Hipple (Colton); his grandchildren, McKenzie, Jakobi, Ella, Adyson, Jonas, Hailey, Gavin, Aspen, Piper, Hudson, Reese, Oakley, Jenson, Briar and Callahan; his mother-in-law Marcella Mikkelsen; his brothers, Al Peterson (Tina) and Ron Peterson (Ellie); and his siblings-in-law, Bianca Peterson (Daryl) and Don Breit (Cheryl). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel (1235 Junction Ave, Sturgis, SD 57785). A prayer was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established to Homes for Our Troops and Habitat for Humanity.
