It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Keith Smit of Sturgis, South Dakota, born in Alta, Iowa, who passed away on March 12, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Smit and Wilma Smit; his son Jeff; and his brother Howard. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Craig Smit of Big Sky, MT and Renae Schumacher (Steve) of Big Sky, MT; his grandchildren, Griffin, Ethan, Nolan Schumacher, Kyan and Colter Smit; and his brother Duane Smit (Marietta) of Windsor, CO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
