It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathryn Daane of Sturgis, South Dakota, born in Faith, South Dakota, who passed away on April 25, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Donnenwirth and Evelyn Donnenwirth (Armour); her brothers, Richard and Wayne; and her grandson Christopher Daane.
She is survived by: her daughter Dr. Janelle Rogers (Jeff) of Nashville; her granddaughter May; her son James Daane (Tami) of Sioux City; her grandchildren, Dr. Nicholas Daane (Gabriella), Jillian Hixson (Michael) and Brooke Daane; her son Jeffrey Daane (Lori) of Rapid City; her grandchildren, Sydney Schroeder (Lane) and Benjamin Daane (Laura); and her great grandchildren, Eleanor, James, George Hixson, Theodore and Kaia Daane.
Kathryn donated her body to the University of SD School of Medicine.
