It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James M. Harrison of Sturgis, South Dakota, who passed away on October 30, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James M. Harrison to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Harrison and Pearl Harrison; his sister Jan; his brother-in-law Wilbur Shuck; his daughter-in-law Shana Harrison; and his mother-in-law Berniece Voeller.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Ellsworth; his children, Debra Harrison of Moorcroft, WY, Douglas Harrison (Robin Clarke) of Sturgis, Shawn Harrison (Carla) of Sturgis, Robin Korth (Jed) of Sturgis and Dustin Harrison (Stephanie) of Sturgis; his grandchildren, Jamie Helms (Tim), Jessica Porter (Sage), Ryan, Rilley Harrison, Chelsea, Hunter Harrison, Libby, Connor Korth, Lexi Burtzlaff (Blake), Sydney Harrison, Kylie Nelson, Elliott Brooke, Tawnee, Ashlee Harrison and Aidan Wood; his great grandchildren, Aamira, James, Matthew Helms and Baby Burtzlaff; and his siblings, Carol Bilbrey (Jim) of Circle Pines, MN and Kenny Harrison (Merla) of Baltic, SD. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

“We are all saddened to hear of Jim's passing so suddenly and tragically. It brought back many memories to me when we were farm neighbors in Forbes, ND. I remember sleep overs with his brother Kenny and the Harrison Family up before 5 am to milk the cows; his wedding in Barnard, SD to Rita, we did a good job of decorating the car; his school bus driving, his dry humor, his positive attitude and his hearty laugh.
