He was predeceased by: his parents, Della Sophia Griffith (Keller) and Hunter Griffith; his siblings, Isaac Lealand Griffith (Lola May), Pearl Elizabeth Cope (Clarence) and Reba Joyce Benson (Wayne); his niece Susan Ellen Taylor (Neil); and his nephew Eldon Eugene Griffith.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Ruth Ellen Cope Rydell (John), Verna Lea Cope Algeier (Roger), Alberta Lou Cope Powers (Ray), Joyce Eileen Benson Kitchen (Ed), Judith Ann Griffith, Gary Lynn Cope, Vance Benson (Kathy) and Steven Ike Griffith (Patti). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and has left a string of friends.
