It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Heffernan of Sturgis, South Dakota, who passed away on November 11, 2022, at the age of 107, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Blattner and Grace Blattner; her husband Ed; her son Donnie (Caroline); her siblings, Harold, Clarence, Harry, Simon Blattner, Rose Keckler, Edith Heffernan, Mabel Stapert, Alvena Joens and Eleanor Wendt; and her son-in-law Joe Zorc.
She is survived by: her children, Nina Zorc, Judy Butler (Bo), Jim Heffernan (Joann), Terry Heffernan (Patty) and Pat Heffernan (Beverly). She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; and thirty-seven great-great grandchildren.
