He is survived by: his wife Cleo; his daughters, Laura Caneva (Brandon) and Mary Weber; his sister Carole Henrichsen; his grandchildren, Connor Caneva and Annika Caneva; and his friends, Jerry, Jeanie Humble, Doug, Judy Mehlhaff, Chris, Carol Jordan and Ed Doran.
Interment to follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, In lieu of flowers a memorial to St. Martin's Chapel restoration has been established.
