She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Scottie Gere and Merna Gere (Grimm); her husband Kenneth Krug; her son Matthew Snethen of Lamoni, Iowa; her siblings, Shelda Gere of Leon, Velma Wengryn (John) of Pleasanton, Iowa and Darwin Gere of Van Wert, Iowa; her brother-in-law Elmer Miler of Leon, Iowa; her sister Avis Miler; her nephews, John Wengryn II, Todd Wengryn and Kirk Miler; and her niece Deanna Hill. She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends.
A memorial has been established to First Assembly of God at 4905 Mt. Rushmore Road, Rapid City, SD, 57701, and Assembly of God Church 101 Champa Street, Van Wert, Iowa, 50262, in memory of Elwin Gere-Krug.
