It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris L. Richter of Sturgis, South Dakota, who passed away on June 11, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Gardner and Rhoda Gardner (Jackson); her former husband Wendelyn Richter; her daughter Pamela Richter; and her sister Kelly Martin.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Richter and Suzanne Hammers (Timothy); her grandchildren, Derrick Richter (Heidi), Clinton Corean (Rachel), Jessica Richter, Jacob Hammers and Benjamin Hammers; her great grandchildren, Brantley, Sophie and Kade Richter; and her nieces, Connie and Nancy Swanson.

Memorial donations can be made to either Immanuel Lutheran Church in Whitewood or the High Plains Western Heritage Center, Spearfish, SD.
