It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alyce Irene Tapken of Sturgis, South Dakota, who passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnathan Heberling and Ferne Heberling (Allen); her husband Robert Tapken; and her siblings, Glen, Ed, Max Heberling, George Yates, Ida Paulson and Agnes Paulson.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Nichols (Gary Sharman) and Russ (Sharri); her stepdaughter Margaret Denton (Steven); and her daughter Mary Frances. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel (1235 Junction Ave, Sturgis, SD 57785). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
