It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Hanson of Strandburg, South Dakota, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on December 2, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hanson and Hazel Hanson; his siblings, Mary Hanson and Tom Hanson; his siblings-in-law, Judy Hanson and Art Mitchell; and his parents-in-law, Wilbur and Marlys Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Lorene; his children, Eric Diamond, Alyssa Diamond (Mick Diem) and David Diamond; his granddaughter Addison Diem; and his siblings, Sharon Mitchell, Marlys Winkelman (Paul), Brian Hanson (Barb), Richard Hanson and Barb Lockler (Dan). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
