He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Stratman and Theresa Stratman (Schurman); his grandson Brock Stratman; his siblings, Kenny, Ralph, Eddie Stratman, Marcie Schulte and Dorothy Stratman; and his siblings-in-law, Theresa, Darlene Stratman and Hubert Schulte.
He is survived by: his wife Coletta Schmitt; his children, Tom Stratman (Laurie) of Springfield, SD, Jim Stratman (Delynn Reichert Willis) of New Underwood, SD, Karla DeJong (Larry) of Avon, SD, Allan Stratman (Judie) of Johnson Siding, SD, Bob Stratman of Lakeville, MN, Greg Stratman (Dawn) of Owasso, OK and Marie Blaha of Springfield, SD; and his siblings, Jerome Stratman of Hartington, NE, Dick Stratman (Judy) of South Yankton, NE, Jean Stratman, Denise Stratman of Verdigre, NE and Mary Pike of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Vincent's Catholic Church (1203 Wood St, Springfield, SD 57062). A wake was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
