He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse E. Dawes and Anna Dawes; his wife Linda Fisher Kurtz of Delmont; his siblings, Jesse Hobert Dawes and Nina; his brother-in-law Clarence Jansen; and his brother Ray. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials can be directed to the VA Hospital.
