With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Benjamin Thomas Slama of Springfield, South Dakota, who passed away on July 1, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Slama and Amelia Slama (Uherka); his wife Gail Oorlog; his grandson Benjamin Thomas Slama; his siblings, Amelia Hebner (Lee), Martha Hrdlicka (Lloyd) and Frank Slama (Mildred); and his siblings-in-law, Georgia Oorlog, Donald, Dan Rehurek, James Hansen and Gene Laufer.

He is survived by: his children, Robbin Cuka (Mark) of Wagner, Randy Slama of Pierre, Tim Slama (Dawn) of Laurel Hill, FL and Thomas Slama (Tracey) of Minot, ND; his grandchildren, Craig Cuka, TJ Cuka (Jenna), Jeremy Cuka (Carissa), Michelle Wentz (Joe), Gina Krier (Andrew), Rachel Muldon (Keith), Bo Slama, Amanda Goza (Brian), Ashley Slama, Dane Erickson, Daniel Slama, Brandon Slama, Courtney Kuhnhenn (Jordon), Edward Slama and Joshua Slama; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Wiedner (Harold), Glenda Laufer, Ginger Schuette (Don), Gladys List (Roger) of Yankton and Mike Oorlog (Ann) of Avon.
