She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Houle and Marie Houle; and her siblings, Cindy Kirsch, Ron and Marcel Houle.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald Schaffer of Spearfish, SD; her children, Adam Ewalt (Stefanie) of Louisiana, Elizabeth Ewalt (Andy Beckmann) of White Lake, SD and Thomas (Candie Mailloux); her grandchildren, Dylan, Joseph, Levi, Harper, McKenzie, Ely and Alivia; and her sisters, Dianna Bosen, Connie, Annette Houle and Yvette Vance (Chris).
