He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Lovitt and Sara Lovitt (Hines); his siblings, Faye Brown, Addie Wiedemann, Clyde and Fred Lovitt; and his grandson Nathan Cowger.
He is survived by: his children, Jackie Cowger (Bob) of Upton, WY, Joe Lovitt (Jenny) of Minneapolis, MN and Diana Bendickson (Kent); his grandchildren, Chad (Elizabeth), Tara, Eben, Maxx Cowger, Ian, James Lovitt, Ashley Gudgel, Amanda, Trevor Gudgel and Krista Morris; and his siblings, Violet Wenck and Duane Lovitt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
