Ruth Perry Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Perry of Spearfish, South Dakota, born in Yankton, South Dakota, who passed away on November 30, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Magnus Nielson and Lila Nielson (Forman); her daughter Catherine Leigh; her siblings, Robert, Neal Nielson, Judy Riedeburg and Marilyn Gunn; her daughter Paige Perry-Reeser; and her siblings-in-law, Hooper, Bob Long, Lyle Perry and Judy Nielson.

She is survived by: her husband Howard Perry of Spearfish; her daughters, Cathy Sullivan of Eugene, OR and Sharon Perry of Athens, OH; her grandchildren, Kristina and Raul Rana of Athens, OH; her sons-in-law, Jamie Sullivan, Ron Reeser, Josh Christen and Rico Rana; her siblings, Paul Nielson of Yankton, SD and Jeanette Long of Brigham City, UT; and her siblings-in-law, Maynard Gunn, Ted Riedeburg, Patricia Nielson and Marge Perry. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Howard and Elaine Perry BHSU Scholarship Fund or Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
