He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Callies and Bertha Callies (Zieman); and his siblings, Calvin, Richard, Clifford, Rhoda Faber, Shirley Herndon, Irene Wheelock and Margaret Faber.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his daughters, Kellie Spaans (Kevin) of Salem, SD, Michele Spaans (Terry) of Rapid City, SD, Kathie Burmeister (Rod) of Sioux Falls, SD and Shannon Owsley (Jaime) of Sylva, NC.; and his siblings, DeWayne Callies (Fuzzy) of Sioux Falls, SD and Lois Haeuszer (Floyd) of Cannon Falls, MN. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private family funeral services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, South Dakota.
