It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Allen Richards of Spearfish, South Dakota, born in Ekalaka, Montana, who passed away on February 4, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Richards and Era Richards (Hopkins); and his siblings, Dale Ray Richards, Kathryn Richardson, Virginia Portwood and Margie Richards.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia Jo Richards of Spearfish; his children, Julie Reynolds of Georgetown, IL, Timothy Hawkins (Tammy) of Belle Fourche and Larry Hawkins of Spearfish; his siblings, Kenneth Richards of Spearfish, Charles "Chuck" Richards (Robin) of Belle Fourche and Juanita "Pete" Apland of Belle Fourche; and his close friend Peggy Whitney of Spearfish. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to the St. Joseph's Indian School, 1301 N Main Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
