With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maynard Nygaard of Spearfish, South Dakota, born in Canby, Minnesota, who passed away on January 29, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie H. Nygaard and Mary F. Cornell Nygaard; and his daughter Marla. He is survived by: his wife Mary Nygaard of Spearfish, SD; his daughters, Lisa Quevedo (Fernando) of Rochester, MN and Jennifer Nygaard of Berkeley, CA; his stepchildren, Dana Sneesby (Ron) of Spearfish, SD, Crystal Bartlowe and Lance Perrett (Pam) of Summerset, SD; his grandchildren, Marisa Quevedo, Nicholas Quevedo, Kelsey Quevedo, Kayla Quevedo, Jenni Sneesby, Lily Sneesby, Macy Sneesby, Aly Koel (Brandon), Cole Perrett (Paige) and Courtney Perrett (Evan Janssen); and his sisters, Doris Brinkman (Jerry) of Arcadia, CA and Robin Engen (Bob) of Erie, CO. He is also survived by several cousins and great-grandchildren.
