Margaret Bernice Vansickel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Bernice Vansickel of Spearfish, South Dakota, who passed away on October 23, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Schuelke and Elizabeth Schuelke (Peregrine); her husband Norman Vansickel; her sons, Bill and Dick; her grandchildren, Tyler Anderson, Shawna Vansickel and Shane Vansickel; her great grandchildren, Aiden and Billy; and her parents-in-law, Oscar and Juanita Vansickel.

She is survived by: her daughters, Carmen Heidler (John) and Nina Vansickel; her daughter-in-law Bev Christofferson; her grandchildren, Deanna Staudt (Daniel), Billy Vansickel (Emily Wang), Bret Vansickel, Corky Heidler (Sharon), Kelli Bebout (Kevin), Chip Heidler (Mindy), O. J. Heidler (Leah), Erika Brightman (Shawn) and Chance Anderson (Merretta); and her great grandchildren, Mikayla Enspam, Shanell, Madalyn Peterson, Brittany Christopherson (Nate), Jessica Vansickel Green (Shad), Kayla Heidzig (Ryan Grant), Kolt Vansickel (Dacia), Noah Hannah, Austin Keffeler (Kelsey), Shania Jensen (Chance), Peyton Smith, Alexis, Corbett, Harlie Jo, Braylie, Ryden, Tryen Heidler, Toby, Dane, Charlie Heidzig, Akira Vansickel, Carson, Ashlynn Reed, Kashton Green, Gus and Hank Anderson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rapid City and the Spearfish Senior Center.
