He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew McCollam and Ruby Evans McCollam; and his grandson Andrew. He is survived by: his pet Sparky; his wife JoAnn McCollam of Spearfish; and his children, Dave Clevenger (Michele) of Custer, SD, Michele Joyce (Kirk) of Tucson, AZ and Megan Molm (Brandon) of Billings, MT. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one sister in Winner, SD, and numerous nieces and nephews.
