He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Morgan and Leola Morgan. He is survived by: his daughters, Amie Lehman (Casey) of Gettysburg, SD and Katherine Peterson (Bill) of Spearfish, SD; his grandchildren, Gabriel, Grace, Liam, Corbin and Bode; and his siblings, Sharon Simon of Mobridge, SD and Steve (Pat) of Rapid City, SD. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the NRA and numerous other organizations.
