With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn Shockey of Spearfish, South Dakota, born in Brookings, South Dakota, who passed away on April 25, 2024 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kathryn Shockey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Royal Adamson and Marilyn Adamson (Steinlicht); her brother Dale Adamson; her parents-in-law, Elmer and Laura Shockey (Greene); and her siblings-in-law, Carlene Collins (Shockey), Karen Balderson (Shockey), Carolyn Martin (Shockey), Gale Shockey and Merle Shockey.
She is survived by: her husband Lloyd; her daughters, Teri Lutchka (Derek) of Eaton, CO and Janelle Gusso (TJ) of Spearfish, SD; her siblings, Paul Adamson (Pat) of Sioux City, IA, David Adamson (Beth) of Aurora, CO and Glenda Skovly (Leonard) of Brookings, SD; and her grandchildren, Madison Schnabel (Parker), Drew Gusso (Sophie), Sydney Burghduff (Dane) and Tristan Lutchka. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established at First Interstate Bank in Spearfish.
