It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jess Riggs of Spearfish, South Dakota, born in Deadwood, South Dakota, who passed away on February 1, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Riggs (Rolfsness) and Jim Riggs; his brother Milton; his parents-in-law, Betty and Russell Thompson; and his sisters-in-law, Thelma Riggs and Patsy Ridgway.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Thompson; his children, Jerry of Spearfish, Riley (Jamie) of Vacaville, CA and Minta Leslie (Will) of Anderson, CA; his grandchildren, William, Brenna, Lucy and Levi; his brother Jerry (Eilean); his brothers-in-law, Jeff Thompson (Deb) of Avon, SD and Donnie Thompson of Lewisberry, PA; and his friends, Dennis, Laurie, Shelby and Gavin Hansen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid 19, Jess' memorial service will be limited to his family.
