He was predeceased by: his parents, John Swaby and Annette Swaby; and his father-in-law Robert Kaiser. He is survived by: his former wife Sheryl Kaufman; his wife Holly Kaiser; his children, Jay Swaby (Erica Kling) and Jennifer Netterberg (Adrian); his stepchildren, Quentin Geddes (Brooke) and Kendra McAllister (Clint); his grandchildren, Eli, Graham, Dalton Netterberg, Nola, Greer Geddes, Alayna and Addilee McAllister; his siblings, John Swaby Jr. (Texas), JoAnn Keller (Cory) and Jean Berg (Tennessee); his mother-in-law Marcella Kaiser; and his brothers-in-law, Rick Kaiser and Greg Kaiser. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, Jim asked that donations be made to the local Humane Society of the Black Hills.
