He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Eddy and Laura Eddy (Zimmerman); his daughter Kathy Eddy; his daughter-in-law Robin Eddy; his son Robert Eddy (Renae); his grandchildren, Travis Eddy (Lita), Trenton Eddy (CC), Ryan Eddy (Maddy), Ansley and Tanner Eddy; his sisters, Joan Ziemann and Kay Simons; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Eddy; his brother Larry Eddy (Irene); his wife Shirley; his son Todd Eddy; his siblings, Lorraine Sprague, Cleo Rosander, John Eddy, Jr. and Marshall Eddy; and his uncle Ralph. He was also cherished by 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces/nephews, special cousins, and cherished friends.

A memorial has been established to the United Church of Christ.
