He is survived by: his son Douglas; his wife Marlene; his children, Brenda Dietz (Courtney) of Baker, MT, Rodney Bechtold of Spearfish, SD and Kimberly Bechtold of Spearfish, SD; and his grandchildren, Casey Dietz (Julia) of Denver, CO, Alyssa Hamiel (David) of Chamberlain, SD, Drew Bechtold of Dickinson, ND, Dawson Bechtold of Dickinson, ND, Jamin (Hope Williamson) of Gillette, WY and Jalyn Carter of Spearfish, SD.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jim's memory to the Northern Hills Humane Society in Spearfish, SD.
