Fay Shields Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fay Shields of Spearfish, South Dakota, born in Philip, South Dakota, who passed away on December 18, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Martin Hanrahan and Elsie Hanrahan (Curl); her husband Elmer Shields; her brother Sylvan Hanrahan; her sister-in-law Phyllis Hanrahan; her children, Robert Shields (Basia) of Tualatin, OR., David Shields (Barbara) and Linda Shields (Kim Engstrom); her grandchildren, Paul Sochacki, Ryan Engstrom, Jeremy Shields, Jennifer Engstrom, Rosemary Engstrom, Amy Shields and McKenzie Shields; and her nieces and nephews, Bonnie Hanrahan (Carl Catterson), Mark Hanrahan (Julie), Robin Cornu (Doug) and Tara Eklof (Mark). She was also cherished by nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
The family is unable to assemble at this time due to difficulties brought on by the Covid pandemic and will plan a memorial service sometime next year with a date yet to be determined.
